Silas Long (b. 1995) is a multimedia artist and curator based in Chicago, Illinois.

Their work considers the subliminal influence of digital media, drawing upon commercial imagery, folklore, internet subculture, fantasy, and horror to invoke alternative realms. Within a collision of materiality and image, they play with technology’s relationship to the physical world. Their practice blends traditional and computer-generated techniques, combining textiles, sculpture, and drawing with large-format printing, pixel art, and digital photography.

Long’s work has been exhibited at Happy Gallery in Chicago, IL; Sometimes Space in Ypsilanti, MI; Basketshop Gallery in Cincinnati, OH; Mean Street Gallery in Cincinnati, OH; Dream Clinic Project Space in Columbus, OH; and the Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH. From 2021-2023, they were Co-Curator for Rainbow Gallery in Cincinnati, OH and more recently curated exhibitions at the DIY art and music venue Not Not in Chicago, IL.

They received their BFA from the University of Cincinnati in 2017.
